Bali is undoubtedly a shopper’s paradise, but deciding what to look for and knowing the right place to look, can be both daunting and frustrating! Here is a rough guide to the main areas of interest in Bali. You won’t have to look far to hit on the shops and malls of Kuta.
Kuta
Jl Legian and Kuta Square present a hotchpotch of trendy brand name outlets, souvenir shops and fashion boutiques, together with gargantuan surfwear concept stores that stock everything you could possibly need to do with surfing and its all encompassing slacker lifestyle.
For a shopping mall excursion, you might want to visit the beachfront ‘Discovery Mall’, the biggest and the most complete one-stop shopping mall ever built in Bali. Fully air-conditioned, the three-floor mall attracts plenty of custom with two department stores, global lifestyle branded boutiques, local retailers, beachside cafes and more.
‘Mal Bali Galeria’ boasts covered walkways set around attractive garden courtyards. Outlets include international and local stores, a department store, supermarket, and food courts.
‘Istana Kuta Galeria’ is also well worth a visit, and notable for its specialty shops complemented by funky architecture, attractive promenades, shaded street cafes, and a pleasant laid-back ambience.
